Biography

Clelia is an Italian experimental guitar player, composer, and sound artist based in Brussels, Belgium.

Since 2007, she has dedicated her expertise to composition, sound design, and sound editing across various media, including movies, live performances, sound installations, corporate videos, commercials, and podcasts.

She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Music and New Technologies at the Conservatory of Music L. Refice in Frosinone, Italy. Her graduation project in electro-acoustic composition, titled "Hyperscape: The Electroacoustic Soundscape," which focused on researching soundscapes as communication links between humans, nature, and technology, was selected as part of the official program at the New York City Electroacoustic Music event.
She designed and created sound environments for theatre and contemporary dance, collaborating with artists such as Maria Blaisse (NL) Judith Sanchez (CUB), Lucas Condro(AR), Francisco Cordova(MX), Alexei Grekowsky (GR), Patricia Apergi(GR), and Fenia Chatzakou/Csenger K. Szabó (DE). Moreover, She was the sound designer and engineer for the company WEE/ Francesco Scavetta(IT/SE) within the performances "Hardly Ever" and "All I Know of Which I'm Not Thinking”, Paola Madrid, Sofia Rodriguez, Lola Vera, Emmi Väisänen (Finland), Riina Kalmi (Finland).

In 2023 Clelia and Jenn Hutt co-founded the duo SENSE They relish the challenge of blending and experimenting with various musical genres, including live electronic, pop, and ambient/soundscape. They incorporate both electronic music and electronic instruments, with the aim of translating their work into a performative dimension.

Since 2019, Clelia has been the in-house sound designer/composer at Tic Tac Art Centre founded by David Zambrano et Mat Voorter, in Brussels.
